5KM TRAINING PLAN FOR BEGINNER

Since the lockdown last year, running, jogging or whatever people called it; has became one of the most anticipated sports.

As health expert suggest us to do individual exercise to maintain physical and psychological well-being, running is a simple activity that you can do around your neighbourhood area.

For those just getting into running, completing a 5K is a great first milestone to aim for. 

 

Here is a basic 16weeks  plan if you're planning to finish your first 5KM run.

For the first week, we are aiming to introduce yourself to the load that your body will need to adapt for next few weeks.

There's no need to rush for a higher intensity exercise during this week and if you're having busy schedule at work or feeling sick, it's okay to skip the session of the day.

MONDAY 30minutes walk
TUESDAY Strength session
WEDNESDAY Rest
THURSDAY 30minutes walk
FRIDAY Rest
SATURDAY 50minutes walk
SUNDAY Rest

It is recommended for you to install those fitness track application into your phone so that you can see how you body adapting & improving throughout the weeks.  

This will motivate you to be consistent and commited to the plan.

 

Important Note: This is a basic and safe plan, however, if you're unsure about your current fitness & health, it's advisable for you to have a medical checkup before starting this program.
